AR Introduction Part 1
March 30 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
New to the AR rifle? Want to better understand how the rifle operates and how to maintain it? We have a two part class designed to help you better know and use your AR pattern rifle. The first part of the class covers the basic function of the rifle. We will cover disassembly, reassembly, and cleaning. We will also cover some of the accessories available for the rifle, such as slings and lights, and how to mount them.
The second part of the class will cover what the bullet does after it leaves the barrel. We will discuss the process of zeroing the rifle. We will cover some of the sighting options for the AR and how they work. Finally, we will go out on the range and work through the zeroing process.
Part 1 is all classroom and students do not need to bring a rifle with them. Part 2 will have an optional live fire portion at the end of the class. If students have an AR pattern rifle that they wish to zero, they can bring it then. Please note that there will be no manipulation of the student’s rifles in the classroom.
